This site

I invite you to play with this site. I've built this from scratch and welcome feedback. The goal is to show how design and engineering can work together to create a better experience for both parties. Some features of note:

  • ā€¢Viewport-based layout and typography sizing using vmin and rem units to set the baseline font-size
  • ā€¢Predictable sizing via max() and round() to snap to a 4-pixel grid
  • ā€¢Lots of usage of HSL --my-color-variable to animate colors without dulling them (hover over the logo)
  • ā€¢A variable font and font-variation-settings to animate it smoothly
